Download Travel Team Information
All players participating in travel baseball represent St. Thomas Minor Baseball as the St. Thomas Cardinals. Teams travel within the London & District Baseball Association (LDBA) for league play. Last year's competition came from locations such as Oakridge, Byron, Sarnia, SW London and North London to name a few. League home games are played at various diamonds in St. Thomas. In addition to league play, the teams may enter tournaments, one of which could be hosted by St. Thomas.
St. Thomas Minor Baseball selects one head coach for each of the teams. Under OBA rules, all coaches must have attained a minimum of Level 1 certification under the National Coaches Certification Program. The head coach will select assistant coaches from volunteer parents or other volunteers. All coaches will be required to obtain a Volunteer Police Check.

The London Badgers Baseball is hosting open try outs for Minor Mosquito (players born 2000), Major Mosquito (players born 1999) and Peewee (players born 1997) beginning January 2010.
Open try-outs will begin indoors starting the first week of January 2010. The indoor portion of the workouts will run for 12 weeks and be held at London's newest indoor baseball training facility Centrefield Sports. After the indoor portion then we will head outside for the final evaluations with the team selected by April 15th.
The players that are selected in April will enjoy a season of high competition. The Minor Mosquito Badgers will play in the Major Mosquito division of the LDBA. The Major Mosquito Badgers will play in the Minor Peewee division of the LDBA. The Major Peewee Badgers will compete in the ICBA. Each Badger team will compete at their respective age group at AAA tournaments. Although winning is important our main focus is to help each and every player develop the skills necessary to become an "elite" level baseball player. The season will be structured so that you will play 1-2 games per week, have 2 structured practices per week plus 5-6 tournaments which includes the OBA AAA Play-offs.
If you are unsure about trying out take the 12 week indoor period as a way to gather the necessary information to see if the London Badgers are what you are looking for in a baseball program. The worst that can happen is that your skills get better and you are now more prepared to play the upcoming season.
Open try-outs are at the posted times below at Centrefield Sports situated at 45 Midpark Crescent, London Ontario.
Cost: $225.00 Payable to: London Badgers (Due first day of try-outs). Cost includes 12 weeks of indoor plus the outdoor try-outs
